Mrs. Hayes
I am excited about having the opportunity to teach every new student that walks through my classroom door this year. I am from Vidalia, GA., and I graduated from Berry College in 2007 with an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Education minor. I graduated from Berry once again, May 2010, with my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. I also am gifted and reading endorsed. I was married in June 2008 and live in Cartersville, GA. with my husband Christopher. We have one daughter, Addison Rae Hayes, who will be in first grade this year. She is so excited and cannot wait to start the school year.
This year is my fifteenth-year teaching. I am excited to return to upper grades and teach third grade. I want my classroom environment to be a place where creativity and interest leads students in learning. I will hold my students to high expectations, so that they will flourish in the classroom. I will challenge my students to think outside the box, and to develop their academic skills. I will provide my students with a variety of teaching strategies such as hands-on activities, games, projects, partner work, and visual aids.
I love what I do. The kids bless me more than they know daily. I was made to teach and believe it should be fun to learn.
I welcome and value parent involvement throughout the year. I would love to hear from you. You are welcome to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have. My e-mail address is [email protected]. I check it during the day and will respond as soon as possible. I use an AWESOME app called “Seesaw” to send out communication. More information on how to sign up to come. If you need me, do not hesitate to contact me. I am looking forward to your support and teaching your child this year.
